Love this place!!! Especially since my grandfather was the original builder and owner of this place. I've literally been going there since I was born. It will always have a special place in my heart. And the new owners are great also. If u get a chance to go when there open do ur self a favor and go. Try the hot fudge brownie. U can thank me later.

The ice cream was amazing...Creamy and they put lots of Reeses cups in it!

The taste of their foods as good as it was 40 year's ago! I'm only 120lbs and I have to have 2 Hamburger's. Love older places.

Great local soft serve ice cream shop. Its a fun place to just sit outside and eat ice cream with other people. Def a must try when in the area.

Great place outside of Black Mountain to stop for ice cream! Lots of chairs for seating, and a couple kiddie rides are on the side of the building. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.

I have tasted a lot of icecream in my life,and this is the best icecream I’ve ever tasted!!

The service was very fast, and servings huge. Only 3 flavors of icecream but lots of dip options. Not much parking. Worker's don't wear gloves. But still a decent place to stop on the way to Asheville.

Great little hot spot in town for a fun dessert. Ice cream treats done well.

Its really good and its ok priced, its a cool place to hangout and the rail road tracks are cool too

Love the ice cream and selection! I would give it 5 stars but the girls that work there are the absolute rudest. Went there two nights in a row and every single one of them speaks so ugly to the customers. It definitely puts a damper on going out for ice cream with the family.

Delicious and soo cheap! Reminds me of getting ice cream when i was a kid. My 16 month old loved the ride on machines outside too. Only downside is they don't take credit cards but if that's what it takes to keep them in business I will gladly bring cash.

So wonderful and nice this isn't a chain. Delicious ice cream and they even have ice cream for my dog. Big selection of ice cream and just overall good vibes.

My husband had a chocolate shake which he thoroughly enjoyed and I had a HUGE parfait that was wonderful. You get generous portions and the prices are great. We'll definitely be back.

Classic Black Mountain staple for ice cream goodness!! My favorite is a banana split Artic Swirl (similar to a DQ blizzard), but seriously, you can't go wrong with any choice here. FYI: they are cash only, so be sure to grab some cash on the way there.

The year is 2020 and this place only accepts cash. They are open to the public during a worldwide pandemic and the employees are not wearing gloves or masks while preparing and serving food. They obviously are not concerned about customer safety.

Great little spot for ice cream! Its located in the downtown area, which is quite interesting. Ice cream is well priced. I got a medium vanilla ice cream with sprinkles in a medium cup, it felt like a large- which is great! There is a sitting area outside. Customer Service was great as well.

We, my husband and I, have enjoyed thr soft serve ice cream for over 25 years but tonight we got seriously disappointed. They aren't serving the same ice cream. It's like the ice cream you get at the Chinese restaurant, heavy and icy, not the light and creamy kind the used to have. Half of mine went in the trash can. Not going back.
